Hekou Life ‘Nian Beast’ 4th Cultural and Creative Design Award

The 4th Hekou Life “Nian Beast” Cultural and Creative Design Award has officially launched. Students are warmly encouraged to participate. Thank you.

This competition invites proposals for cultural and creative products based on the theme of the Year of the Goat, focusing on goat-inspired designs and creativity. The overall visual design should emphasize clarity, distinctiveness, and recognizability, making it suitable for application across various products.

1. Entries must have value as gifts and souvenirs. Designs should convey blessings and cultural significance, feature aesthetic appeal and quality, and consider practicality and durability in terms of materials and production methods. Proposals should also demonstrate market viability.
2. Designs must incorporate the Year of the Goat theme, using the symbolic imagery of the goat as a foundation. Creative interpretations may draw from cultural meanings, symbolism, patterns, imagery, textures, or visual motifs.
3. Materials are not limited and may include ceramics, wood, metal, textiles, or mixed media.

Categories:

• Visual Design Category: Focus on cultural symbols. Participants are encouraged to draw inspiration from cultural imagery related to the Year of the Goat. There are no restrictions on format. At least one visual application design (goat-themed pattern application) must be developed.
• Cultural Product Design Category: Participants may freely create one product. The design must embody the spirit of Year of the Goat cultural creativity, adhere to the principles of a clear theme and feasibility for commercialization, and showcase personal style along with a practical product design proposal.

Eligibility:
Open to currently enrolled students at colleges and universities in Taiwan (individual entries only).
