2026 University of the West of England Art and Design Competition
I. To enhance bilateral art and design exchange between Taiwan and the UK and cultivate future students for international success, the University of the West of England (UW), ranked 2nd in the UK for art and design, is hosting the 2026 Taiwan Art and Design Competition. In addition to generous prize money, all participants will receive a certificate of participation to enrich their learning experience and enhance their future university application portfolio.
II. UW is one of the UK's top 10 largest and most popular universities (over 38,000 students and over 600 departments). It is ranked among the top 10 modern universities in 2026 (Sunday Times), 24th in the 2023 Guardian University Guide, and within the top 400 of the Times Higher Education World University Rankings. Located in Bristol, the city was named the UK's happiest city, an arts capital, and a UNESCO Film City in 2024. Its School of Art and Design, formerly the Royal College of Art and Design, is ranked 2nd in the UK and has extensive collaborations with BBC News, Bloomberg, Oscar-winning animation studios, and numerous multimedia studios.
III. This competition is divided into college and high school groups. The competition poster, electronic files, and registration form are attached. Individual registration is welcome and free of charge (an administrative fee of NT$500 is required for those requiring a paper certificate). All submissions must be made online. The top three winners will receive admission and scholarships, and the top 10 outstanding participants will be awarded certificates and eligible to apply for UWE (University of the West of England) status. All other participants who meet the eligibility requirements and submission criteria will receive a participation certificate (PDF file) from the University of the West of England as proof of their participation in diverse high school learning.
