Launching the Future: Artistic Empathy, Local Connections

International forum

Since its inception in 2024, the Weiwuying International Forum has been dedicated to promoting the social value of art, connecting venues, artists, schools, communities, and businesses to bring art out of the theater and into everyday life. The first forum, themed "Changing the Future," proposed the professional roles of "Teaching Artists" and "Creative Participatory Producers" and launched a professional development program. The second forum, themed "Creating the Future Together," focused on the impact of art on youth, senior citizens, and disadvantaged groups, exploring how art can promote health and community well-being.

Entering its third year in 2026, the forum, with the vision of "Initiating the Future," focuses on the theme of "Community/Community Participation." It invites speakers and community practitioners from Taiwan, the United States, Germany, the United Kingdom, Singapore, and other regions to explore how art can build local connections and spark dialogue. The forum will discuss the experiences and challenges of art promotion from three levels: "Art Experience, Art Participation, and Art Empowerment." The forum also includes case studies, professional workshops, and group discussions, allowing participants to personally consider how to design inclusive, sustainable, and impactful projects.

After three years of development, the Weiwuying International Forum has gradually taken shape as a platform that combines local perspectives with an international vision, making art a part of public life and exerting influence in the cultural landscape of Taiwan and even Asia.
