Call for entries for the 10th MAKAPAH Art Award
Taiwan's indigenous culture is profound and has its own unique artistic expression. Whether it is ritual norms, life rituals, or the spirit of patterns, the moving cultural connotations are worth exploring in detail. The Council of Indigenous Peoples has held the "MAKAPAH Art Award" since 2013. It has entered its 10th year (2014) and has become one of the important events in Taiwan's art world. Every year, it attracts thousands of photographic works and hundreds of painting works. Every year, many entries show a deeper understanding and experience of the lives, cultures, and traditions of indigenous peoples. "MAKAPAH" comes from the Amis language, which means "beautiful, handsome, beautiful, and amazing". As the name suggests, this art award aims to lead the public into the native land through artistic creation, capturing the beauty of culture and recording the truth of life through the lens and brush. Through the competition, we not only provide a stage for creators to unleash their inspiration, but also encourage the society to appreciate the cultural connotations of the indigenous peoples from different perspectives, thereby deepening the public's understanding and appreciation of the unique culture of this land. Therefore, our association has entrusted Zuoyou International Co., Ltd. to organize the 10th MAKAPAH Art Award.
