1. Purpose
Bamboo art is the most distinctive local cultural industry in Nantou County. In order to promote cooperation among industry, government and academia, encourage bamboo art practitioners to develop new bamboo art products, and allow the most environmentally friendly bamboo material to be widely used in daily life such as food, clothing, housing, education, and entertainment, a bamboo art product development competition is held to promote the modern aesthetics of bamboo art and the artistic value of life, and stimulate the sustainable development of the bamboo industry.

3. Plan Implementation Method
1. Call for entries: Use bamboo as the material and use various carving, engraving, weaving and other techniques to present the creative style or practical value of the product. 1. Participation qualifications: Anyone aged 16 or above and a citizen of the Republic of China can participate. 2. Category of submission: Practical and creative works related to bamboo art. 3. Submission Specifications: The maximum length, width and height of the work shall not exceed 120 cm (the base with a shape is considered as part of the work, and modular works require illustrations). 4. If there is a joint creation situation, each work is limited to a maximum of 3 people. 5. Each person can only register 3 works. (II) Evaluation method: The organizing unit shall select and appoint a committee of experts, scholars and outstanding bamboo art creators with professional qualities to conduct the evaluation. Evaluation criteria include: 1. Creative techniques 25% (material processing, creative techniques, durability, etc.). 2. Creative features: 25% (uniqueness, cultural connotations, local characteristics, etc.). 3. Aesthetics 25% (shape, decoration, overall performance, etc.). 4. Economic benefits: 25% (production time, price, practicality in life, feasibility of mass production, etc.). If there are no suitable works, the judging panel may decide to leave the award vacant.
IV. Plan Implementation Schedule
1. Application period: From now until August 31, 2015. 2. Review of submissions: end of September 2015. (III) Results announcement: The results will be announced on the Bureau’s website and notified to all contestants in October 2015 (those who are not selected according to this guide will be notified separately to process their applications for rejection). (IV) Award Ceremony: December 2015 (date to be determined). (V) Exhibition: The works selected by the jury will be exhibited at an exhibition time arranged by the Bureau (date to be determined separately).
V. Reward Method
(I) Award method (the prize money includes income tax) 1. First Prize: 1 prize money of NT$80,000, a medal and a certificate (the work will be kept by the Bureau). 2. Two selected winners: each will receive a prize of NT$50,000, a medal and a certificate (the works will be kept by the Bureau). 3. Three excellent works: each will receive a prize of RMB 10,000, a medal and a certificate. 4. A number of candidates will be selected and awarded certificates. (II) The first prize and selected works will be kept by the Bureau, and the copyright belongs to the creators. The winners are requested to fill in the image data authorization consent form (the form will be provided separately). The winners agree to the Bureau's subsequent rights to copy, film, exhibit, and reuse, and shall not exercise the copyright rights against the Bureau. (3) The selected works may be photographed by the Bureau for use in printing and online publicity. Except for the first prize and selected works, the excellent works and selected works will be returned by the organizer after the exhibition. VI. (Inquiry: 049-2231191#512 Ms. Zhang, #510 Ms. Li) (ii) Before the registration deadline, participants should fill in the registration form and the work information form in detail, and pack the works in packaging boxes (do not use glass, paste the delivery form yourself, and each work should be packed separately, do not pack multiple works together), and submit them to the service desk of the Bamboo Art Museum on the 1st floor of the Bureau for signature. (III) Return date: The Bureau will send a letter to the creator to collect the work (if the creator is unable to collect the work in person, please entrust someone else to collect it on your behalf or notify the freight forwarder to collect the work on your own. The Bureau will not contact the freight forwarder or send the work on your behalf).
