Regarding the precautions for providing technology based on the university's research results and ex

I. To protect the university's research achievements and faculty intellectual property rights, please ensure that contracts and related procedures are completed before providing technical data or engaging in cooperation with external parties. This will reduce legal risks and prevent damage to rights.

II. To properly manage the university's research achievements and ensure faculty rights, all situations involving technology transfer, industry-academia cooperation, or other provision of technical data to external parties should be handled in accordance with the university's relevant regulations. Contracts and necessary review procedures must be completed before providing any technical content.

III. Practical cases show that some partners obtain technical data before completing contract signing or fulfilling contractual conditions (such as payment), which can easily lead to disputes over performance. In such cases, in addition to the difficulty in clearly defining the technical content and scope of delivery, the integrity of the rights claim may be affected, resulting in a reduction of the requested consideration or even failure to obtain due compensation. Furthermore, if further litigation proceedings are initiated, corresponding time and evidentiary costs must be borne, and litigation or expert fees may also arise. The overall risk cannot be ignored.

IV. To reduce these risks, faculty members are advised to pay attention to the following when engaging in external cooperation: (a) Avoid providing complete or key technical data before completing contract signing. (II) When technology transfer is involved, it is advisable to confirm that the other party has fulfilled the corresponding conditions of the contract (such as signing the contract and making payments). (III) Important records of transactions during the cooperation process should be properly preserved for future evidence.

V. For any technology transfer or industry-academia collaboration needs, it is recommended to first consult the university's Innovation Technology Management Group or the Industry-Academia Collaboration Office for assistance to ensure the integrity and legality of the cooperation process.

VI. Research and development results are important assets of the university and its faculty. All units are requested to jointly maintain them and handle external cooperation matters prudently to ensure overall interests.
