The Institute of Visual Culture at National Chiao Tung University will soon open online applications

The Graduate Institute of Visual Culture at National Yang-Ming University (NENU) will soon open online applications for its Master's program entrance examination for the 2026-2027 academic year!

The Graduate Institute of Visual Culture at NENU is Taiwan's first "Institute of Visual Culture," academically positioned as an interdisciplinary integration of photography studies, film studies, art history, visual sociology, and technology research. Under this interdisciplinary direction, it focuses on three main areas of development: "Modern Visual Arts," "Modern Visual Arts and Society," and "Modern Visual Arts and Technology."

【Examination Dates】

◎ Application Period: 9:00 AM, December 9, 2025 to 5:00 PM, December 16, 2025 (Online application)

◎ Announcement of Preliminary Examination Success Qualifications: March 6, 2026 (Announced on the NCTU Admissions Website and the Institute's website)

◎ Final Examination Date: March 13, 2026

(The final examination includes an additional written English test. Past exam questions can be found on the Institute's website.)

◎ Re-examination Results Announcement Date: April 1, 2026 (Announced on the Yangming National Chiao Tung University Admissions Website)

※※※ Important Information for General Entrance Examination Application ※※※ → The entrance examination for the Master's program in Visual Culture is exempt from written examination. Please write a research plan and related materials as listed in the guidelines.

On the day of the re-examination, in addition to the oral examination, a professional English written examination will be held. The recommended reading list for the professional English written examination can be found in the "Admissions Information" section of the institute's website.
